Project Runway

So I’m a little obsessed with Project Runway.
I finally got around to watching episode two yesterday (since I have to catch them on the net), and I have a few comments….     (Warning:  Spoilers after the jump!!)

1. Pamela’s dress was pretty bad- but PING got to stay??? WHY WHY WHY??

2.  There were some AMAZING dresses this week- I think a lot of these designers have a LOT of potential:

3.  Jay Nicolas’ dress was chosen as the winner.  I think it’s kind of boring, and looks unfinished.  Technically, I suppose, it is impressive because he made it out of burlap (of all things).  But is it fashionably appealing?  I don’t think so.  But then, I’m not known for wearing things that are super fashionable.

4.  I think Emilio has a shot at winning.  He’s got a crazy ability to take plain fabric and make it look completely different.

Is anyone else into Project Runway?  Do you wish Tim Gunn lived in your basement? (I do!)  Do you disagree with my assessments?  Let’s talk about it!

Last I checked, episode 3 isn’t online yet, so we’ll have to see what happens.  I’m with everyone else, though, Ping is being kept for her personality/ratings value, not designing/sewing ability.  Blah.  Stupid reality TV.
